Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Billoo

Prof. Abdul Ghaffar Billoo is the senior most paediatrician (child specialist) of Pakistan. He is a graduate of Dow Medical College Karachi of 1959 batch. His post graduate qualifications are DCH (Glasgow, UK 1962), DTM&H (UK 1962) and MRCP (Glasgow, UK 1964). He has also been awarded FRCP by Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh in 1986 on his academic services.

Prof. Billoo has vast experience in his field of treating diseases of children. He has served many years at Dow Medical College and its attached Civil Hospital, Karachi in teaching faculty. After retirement from Dow as professor, he is now working as consultant paediatrician at Agha Khan University Hospital and Memon Medical Institute. Besides his excellence in academics, Prof. Billoo is well known for his community services. He is the founder of “HANDS”, a well known NGO working in health and education sector for the benefits of non-privileged people.
